July Project of the Month

June has come and gone and we are all ready for the new month! July's Project of the Month is an envelope mini book! Everything you need to complete the project is included in the kit! And it's perfect for all that summer has to offer!

Cardstock cards are great for journaling, embellishing with photos and making into a quick mini book. Or personalize the cards into a letter to a friend, invitation, or announcement! Don't forget! Projects of the Month are always $5.00 and ready for you to take home with you and make it special!

A Fun Idea

Here is an idea  to highlight certain colors in your picture for a page. In this case, I wanted to focus on the colors red,white and blue for 4th of July. First, you will need to print the picture you want to use twice. Once in color, and the second time in black and white. Next, choose a simple shape to cut from the photo. Here I chose a star to go with my theme. Carefully cut the shape from both photos. To do this, I traced the shape onto the back of each photo, and then cut. You could also use an exacto-knife and cut both at the same time. Finally inset the color photo inside the black and white photo. You can use the reverse for another project, or discard the unused pieces. Here is a couple of pictures of my page...
 

Patriotic Cards

Hello!! I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather we are having (finally).  Here is what we are making in Creative Cafe next Tuesday, July 1st. Wow!! July already!

Three fun "Star Spangled" cards. One is a tri-fold, the other two are A2 size cards. If you can't think of someone to send these cards to, let me know, as we will arrange to have them sent to our troops!!  :)
Come in any time between noon and 7pm Tuesday, you don't have to bring a thing.  The cost is a mere $4.95 for all three.

Summer Mini Book

Here it is, the cute little summer mini we are making next Tuesday in Creative Cafe. Fun Summer colors, lots of embellishments,all held together with binder rings. Use it to tell a story from an event, a fun summer day, or just to document the sights, sounds,smells and tastes that make summer so much fun.  :) Hope to see you on Tuesday. As always noon to 7pm. Just come as you are!!

More New Products

Yipee!! I love new products,especially when they have such fun happy colors as the new Heather Bailey products. For those of you that have not seen her in the June issue of Home Companion, Heather has designed fabrics for some time.  This is her first paper line, and I think it is so fun!! Take a look, here are the papers....

New October Afternoon

I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of these new products!! These were some of my favorites from CHA last Feb. The Detours line has recently been featured on the cover of Simple Scrapbooks Magazine too!! So here they are...October Afternoon Detours,

One really cool thing about these products is the die-cut paper, they are double-sided!!

June 17 Creative Cafe

Here is the project we are doing for Creative Cafe next week (June 17). It is the set of 3 cards in summer colors of orange and hot pink!! Learn how to make a cute circle card,and use our tag curler for another!! As always, anytime between noon and 7 pm. The cost for this project is $4.95 and includes all materials.

                                                                

This Week at Bella

Here I go again..... ;) This Thusday is the TRAVEL minibook, from 6:30-9:00pm. The cost is $26.00 and includes all the supplies except glue, and pictures of course!!

                                                                        

We also have a work night scheduled for Saturday, June 14. It runs from 6:00 to midnight!! We have lots of fun, get pages done, eat good food, and everyone that attends receives prizes. Plus I get out my tools for you to use!! To cover the cost of food, all I ask is $10 or a Bella purchase of $20. Please call to reserve a spot, so I can plan for food. See you there!!

A Quick Update

Hi Everyone!!  As some of you know, Brooke has moved on to work at the U.S. Forest Service, so I am forced to learn how to update the blog.  (Please be patient with me!)  I just wanted to let you all know of a couple things here at Bella.
  First, we are changing the store hours, and will be closed on Sundays through the summer. I am very sorry if this is an inconvenience for you, but with no relief, I need a day off now and again.  :)
  Second, I wanted to announce the winner of May's blog challenge.  Drumroll please...... And the winner is... Erin Manning!! She receives a $20. Bella Gift certificate!!  Congratulations  Erin!! 
  Finally, (because I want to see if I can insert a picture) an idea for you. So, I did this layout, and wanted a shaped paper, but there were none in the colors I wanted, so I just traced a shaped paper onto the back of the paper I chose, and yipee!! shaped paper!! This can also work for embellishments, like the little brown flowers cut from another paper!!
