Finally....

We finally received our back-orders from weeks ago! And it couldn't have arrived at a better time! Bella Scrapbooking has Karen Foster Advent Calendars! Phew! And of course, you know we are so excited to get started covering them with paper! Yippee!! :)

In other news: Bella will be open on Sundays from Noon-4 PM! Starting Thanksgiving weekend through the month of December! We hope this will help with all of your Holiday shopping endeavors!

If you haven't been into Bella's lately, we are offering something new to you! We have made a few Christmas Themed kits for you to take home and create with! These kits feature many of our fun AccuCut dies, so we've done all the work for you!  They are packaged with a cute ribbon, and make great stocking stuffers for the scrapbooker in your family!

We hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! Come visit us on Friday! We will have the new calendar for December on the counter! And plenty of inspiration for the Holiday Season! :)

A Fun Idea

Here is an idea  to highlight certain colors in your picture for a page. In this case, I wanted to focus on the colors red,white and blue for 4th of July. First, you will need to print the picture you want to use twice. Once in color, and the second time in black and white. Next, choose a simple shape to cut from the photo. Here I chose a star to go with my theme. Carefully cut the shape from both photos. To do this, I traced the shape onto the back of each photo, and then cut. You could also use an exacto-knife and cut both at the same time. Finally inset the color photo inside the black and white photo. You can use the reverse for another project, or discard the unused pieces. Here is a couple of pictures of my page...
 

Did You Know.... season finale

Did you know that Bella hosts Creative Cafe walk-in classes every Tuesday!? We feature a new project every week for you to make utilizing the Creative Cafe products.  All the supplies need to make the projects are included and ready for you to use. We try to feature new products for you to experiment with and personalize your creation. The projects are very price-conscious, in that we try to keep costs under $6.00. 


There is no age restriction for Creative Cafe...small ones welcome!  Don't forget, Bella is open 'til 7 pm on Tuesday for your convenience! No need to call ahead and reserve a spot, just stop in and head towards the back of the store!

Did You Know... Round 3

Did you know that Bella has a CriCut Library!? This means that Bella doesn't retail CriCut cartridges, but allows you to rent them for $10.00 per week! This is a helpful way to test-drive a particular cartridge you are interested in. Or if you have a specific project in mind but don't want to purchase the cartridge, renting is ideal!
 
Bella has over 40 different cartridges to choose from, ranging from alphabet fonts to icons. Our rental system is here for your benefit!

*Tip Du Jour (like soup du jour but with fewer calories...) Round 3: Did you know that felt is a fun way to embellish scrapbooking projects!? Bella has 8x11 or 12x12 squares of felt, and Creative Cafe felt shapes in a variety of colors that can be used in lots of fun ways.  The AccuCut is a great way to utilize felt squares by cutting out shapes for embellishment. Like this:


Simple little felt circles with blanket stitching. (can you tell I've been on a sewing kick these days?)
What about making a felt book cover? Here are a few examples:

Freehand flowers out of your favorite fabric and sew to one square of felt before stitching the felt pocket together. This is a great way to give minibooks as gifts. And you can make a felt pocket fit any size of mini album!

Did You Know.... Take 2

Did you know that Bella offers a new kitted project every month! It is always $5.00 and includes everything needed to complete the project (excluding personal photos and adhesives). We've featured a variety of minibooks, cards, and home decor. We always put photos of the newly released project on our blog for you to admire so you can stop by the store and pick one up! To Go! No need to complete the project in store. It is meant to be taken home and completed or given as a gift!
Look for them at the beginning of each month! The Projects of the Month are ideal for highlighting seasonal activities and holidays. The supplies included in the kits are often from a coordinating line here at Bella. To further extend your projects, look for other fun embellishments and papers to make your creation your own!

Did You Know....

Bella has more than just scrapbooking supplies.  The Girls at Bella work hard to offer more to make your creative experience enjoyable and attainable. Did you know that Bella has an AccuCut die-cut with almost 50 die-cut shapes!?














Customers are welcome to use our AccuCut with a purchase of paper or chipboard at Bella. There are lots of fun shapes to make minibooks, cards/invitations, or scrapbook pages and embellishments.

*Bella Scrapbook Tip du jour: Amongst the dies available at Bella are envelopes in a variety of shapes and styles. Cut envelopes out of your favorite paper and make a minibook with them by tying them together with ribbon. Let the fun begin!  Stay tuned for more Bella goodness!

Greetings Earthlings!

As suggested, here is the unveiling of the Art Ship, created during our Crop Night last night.  Designed with a fully functional retractable track and ready for take-off. If you missed the crop, don't worry. We will have another event next month.  (either the second or third Saturday of March.) But we will all have to wait patiently for next month's creation.  Until then.... 

Home Sweet Home!

We have returned from a very exciting and inspiring trip to the CHA convention in Anaheim.
What a fun experience. So many fun, new products. And lots of kind, helpful people working with us throughout the Convention. Here is a recap from the perspective of the Bella girls!
